Dragon’s Dogma 2 is intended to remain a pure single-player experience. Capcom and the developers consciously decided against a multiplayer mode.
According to Capcom and Hideaki Itsuno, the open-world role-playing game Dragon’s Dogma 2, which will be released on March 22nd, will not have a multiplayer component.
As in the first part, the role-playing game relies on a vassal system, which merely emulates the feeling of an online MMORPG.
Itsuno announced this in a recent interview with automat and emphasized that although a multiplayer mode would be attractive due to the many different “professions” that the player can learn in the game, it still does not differ from its original version of a single-player experience, which simply fakes the online experience wants to deviate.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on March 22nd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
