Publisher Funcom and developer Shiro Games are pleased to announce that starting April 26, Dune: The Spice Wars will begin its early access phase. This step means that we are before the first time in two decades that players will be able to enter the world of Dune. Dune: The Spice Wars climbed the most wanted list Steam. A success since its announcement at the Game Awards 2021 last December.
Dunes mixes real-time strategy and 4X game elements. All based on Frank Herbert’s sci-fi masterpiece, where four factions clash on the desert planet Arrakis
Alongside the game’s early access release, the fourth playable faction was also revealed: the Fremen. This faction has a greater ability to move and withstand desert weather. Additionally, it has a lower chance of attracting Colossal Sandworms and a better ability to ally with monsters. Sietches (settlements of neutral natives of the planet Arrakis).
