We contacted Electronic Arts in Europe and this is what they told us:

We are aware of the allegations currently circulating within our community regarding FIFA21 Ultimate Team items. A full investigation is underway and if we identify inappropriate behavior, we will take prompt action.

We want to be clear: this type of behavior is unacceptable and we do not condone what would have happened here in any way. We understand that this raises concerns about an unfair imbalance between video games and the competition. We will update the community as we have more information on the situation.

As you can read in the quote above, the team is already investigating the events we have seen in recent days on social media, the company has made it clear that it will not consent to any type of inappropriate behavior in the game and in the event that they will take prompt action as they deem such acts unacceptable.
