Like many players in the video game industry, EA announces that it will lay off 6% of its workforce, or about 775 employees. This restructuring plan aims to consolidate the publisher’s dominant position. This also includes the optimization of the real estate portfolio and the bundling of strengths for targeted growth.
However, the American publisher is going ahead on eggs so as not to arouse anger:
We act with the utmost respect. Whenever possible, we transfer our employees to other projects. If this is not possible, we offer severance pay and sick pay and support them in making career changes.
Let’s hope the best for the victims of these layoffs.
