EA Sports ends its agreement with FIFA and its next sports opus will be called EA SPORTS FC

EA Sports confirms that the title retains exclusive licenses.

However, things will change in the future, because the agreement between Electronic Arts and the FIFA federation is coming to an end and will not be renewed. EA’s official Twitter account has announced that its flagship game will be getting a name change. If we already knew that EA was thinking of getting rid of the FIFA license, it is now official. The publisher plans to meet with us in July 2023 to learn more about the future of its football game: ¡EA SPORTS FC!

No panic among the fans, since EA SPORTS claims to have over 300 football licensing partners

and that experiences and game modes will continue to be available. It will still be possible to play Ultimate Team, career mode, Pro Clubs or Volta Football. The publisher’s license portfolio also includes the rights to use more than:

19,000 players
700 teams
100 stadiums
30 diseases
