In addition to announcing this update, KONAMI confirms the new eFootball™ Championship tournament format. In 2024, two events will take place: the eFootball™ Championship Open (in its usual format) and the new: ‘eFootball™ Championship Club Event’.
My league
My League is a new game mode for eFootball™ 2024. In it, users will play against AI for a season using their Dream Team. Users can add loaned players from the team they select in the league (e.g. AC Milan in the Italian league).
Throughout the season, users will play in different climates and enjoy new scenes, including a special celebration if they manage to win the final leaderboard. This game mode can be played as many times as the user wishes, in addition to being able to change leagues once the season is over.
Cooperative events room
The cooperative mode is now expanded to allow players to have fun alone or with their friends. Users can now join other single player players to create teams of three and enjoy cooperative mode. They will also be able to interact in-game using emojis to react to situations that occur during matches.
During the period from December 7 to 21, those who play in cooperative mode will receive rewards including 4 training programs to help them develop their Dream Teams.
Connection Mini-games
Every day, users can challenge themselves in simple mini-games, earning items that can help them improve their Dream Teams or even recruit new players. If users can complete these mini-games on consecutive days in a month, they will be able to earn rewards such as Epic Player Opens.
New skill type: “Blitz Curler”
This update includes a new ability that will delight offensive-minded players. The “Blitz Curler” skill allows precise, controlled shots with vertical rotation using a player’s dominant foot and using more than 50% of the Power Gauge.
The eFootball™ Championship 2024 will see a new episode of official eSports tournaments in the eFootball™ series.
While the eFootball™ Championship Open will remain the same, KONAMI confirms the announcement of a new type of tournament: eFootball™ Championship Club Event.
Club Events invites players from all over the world to participate in the game to become the best fan of each of the participating clubs. Firstly, there will be online qualifiers for each region before all regional winners meet in the final to decide who will represent the club at the World Finals.
