Wiktor is a thaumaturge – derived from the Greek for “miracle worker” – who has mysterious, rare and disturbing abilities that few see. In our story, mistakes represent the human imperfections that most of us try to hide or overcome. These mistakes arise from trauma, pressure or simple human nature and shape and distort the psyche.
Imagine people among us who not only feel and track these flaws, but can also see them, attracting mystical beings called salutors. Once tamed, these creatures join Wiktor in turn-based battles, unlocking new powers and enriching his character’s development.
With a richly woven, story-driven focus, The Thaumaturge invites players to explore human nature through its characters, including real-life figures like Rasputin, the infamous Russian mystic.
