After the absences of 2020 and 2022, E3 will return next year with an event that we can enjoy in person and online.
Good news for video game enthusiasts and the industry in general. After another year of absence, E3 will return in 2023. The ESA itself, organizer of the most important video game fair in the world, communicated this through an interview with the Washington Post that user Nibellion shared on social media.
Stan Pierre LouisCEO and President of ESA, said that “we’re excited to be back in 2023 with an E3 that can be enjoyed online and in person. We love online events and the reach they have for everyone from anywhere in the world. Although we are aware of the great desire of people to meet in the same place and share their passion with other participants and talk about what makes video games so great.
Recall that E3 has only had one edition in the last 3 years, this one being online only due to the restrictions caused by COVID-19. But Pierre-Louis remains convinced of the romanticism of classical conventions. “I think it’s great that businesses of all sizes can work out how best to promote their products to their consumers. I think face-to-face events are still important, even knowing how important digital reach is. The combination of these two aspects is something that I really believe E3 can bring to the industry.
