Yellow Brick Games reveals first playable demo and other exciting updates for Eternal Strands ahead of Tokyo Game Show.
For the first time, the public will be able to experience Eternal Strands up close on the PlayStation 5 console at TGS 2024. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the living world of the Enclave and defeat one of the game’s nine epic bosses – the Ark of the Living Flame.
Thomas Giroux (CEO) and Jeff Skalski (Executive Producer & COO) will be on site throughout the event and will welcome visitors, media representatives and developers at the booth in the general area of the exhibition.
“We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm for our game when media representatives and content creators had the opportunity to test our exclusive demo at Gamescom.”
“Eternal Strands is truly a game that has to be played to understand its appeal through its physics-based gameplay and the synergy of magical powers. We are very excited for TGS attendees to discover what makes our game so special and to creatively come up with their own strategies to defeat the Ark of the Living Flame,” said Frédéric St-Laurent.
An artistic collaboration with Du Coup was revealed to release a 2D trailer.
This brand new 2D animated trailer gives fans their first look at the game’s opening scene, created in collaboration with Quebec City-based animation studio Du Coup Animation and featuring music by Grammy Award-nominated composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Stray Gods, The Banner Saga, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate).
Inspired by Du Coup’s award-winning work on the indie game Sea of Stars (Sabotage Studio), Eternal Strands will feature several key moments brought to life through hand-drawn 2D animations, bringing an additional layer of depth and artistry to the game’s narrative alongside Wintory’s dynamic soundtrack.
As part of an effort to make Eternal Strands more accessible to players around the world, Yellow Brick Games has also announced that the game’s interface and subtitles will be fully translated into three additional languages: Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), and Brazilian Portuguese.
This news follows the announcement of a selection of the game’s English voice actors during Gamescom last month, with the remaining English and French voice actors to be announced at a later date.
