Yesterday, we had an intense Microsoft conference at E3, and despite these 90 minutes of presentation after presentation, some games already announced were conspicuous by their absence.
This was the case with Always wild, the game of RARE announced at X019 which moved fans and sated the desire for a game with a lively and polished aesthetic for artistic fans. The game promises, and a lot, but it is starting to talk about its direction.
New directive amendment puts development in the spotlight
Jeff Grubb and the magazine team Video games chronicles, comment that there has been a change in the creative direction of this game since the end of last year which could have affected the RARE title launch predictions.
According to the VGC article, they comment that the already more than veteran of the study Gregg Mayles, is the new in charge of running the game and, we quote his prediction, the 2024 could be “the most optimistic”.
The reality is that this Thursday we have a new Microsoft Showcase, and the games not shown at Sunday’s conference we will be able to see them. Will Everwild be among them? We just have to wait. What is true is that RARE has made changes in their ranks, and those types of managerial changes usually cause slight development gaps.
Now we just have to wait, although there’s nothing better for that than revisiting the trailer that premiered in July 2020.
