An Xbox exclusive game is reportedly coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch this year.
There are new rumors about a possible release of an exclusive Xbox game for Sony PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. According to the source, the game is said to have been a “Game of the Year” contender and will be released for additional platforms in 2024.
The rumor mill is already churning and there is already wild speculation that Hi-fi Rush will be released for PlayStation and Switch in 2024. Tango Gameworks’ game was released in 2023 as Shadow Drop for Xbox and not only turned out to be a huge hit thanks to Xbox Game Pass, but was nominated in many Game of the Year votes.
“In calendar year 2024, Microsoft will bring one of its most popular games to a competitor’s system,” said Nate the Hate’s new podcast show.
“The title I am referring to received critical acclaim. The fans loved it and it was in the conversation for Game of the Year the year it was released.”
“When the announcement comes, I think it will be received with great enthusiasm because it is a quality game.”
“I think this is a smart move for Microsoft… from a business perspective, when you bring select games multiplatform, to Switch and PlayStation, you do it because you see the quality of the IP and the franchise and the reach across Xbox would like to expand beyond.”
In the past, Microsoft has released other games for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch that were previously exclusive to Xbox. For example, Minecraft and Ori and the Blind Forest.
