Are you a Wastelander fresh out of Vault 76 and you don’t know what to do next? Don’t worry, Vault-Tech’s best engineers are working in Xbox Space to help you get started, and believe us, you’ll need it.
The world of Fallout 76
Surviving a large-scale nuclear attack that left the world in a gigantic wasteland riddled with radioactive monstrosities wasn’t enough; Now it’s your turn to rebuild the world and survive each day.
Fallout 76 It ranks chronologically as the final game in the series.and the mission of its refuge (76) was to free its inhabitants as quickly as possible after the bombs were dropped, to see how they survived outside.
Every shelter in Fallout fulfills a mission or experience, and ours wasn’t the most enjoyable. At the time of the game’s release, there were no human “NPCs” to talk to or receive quests from, the only “living” beings we could interact with to receive quests were robots.. It was an idea that players didn’t like very much, but why did they do it?
As we explained previously, The goal of the Vault 76 plot was to free its inhabitants as the first settlers of the new world after the bombs., and that’s what they recreated, a world without humans where we were the first to leave. As a player who started from the beginning and had this experience, I have to say that I really liked it and it really made me feel like I was the first person to come out of a shelter.
Years later, with the Wastelanders expansion, human “NPCs” and new main stories to play through arrived, making it a more mainstream Fallout, like the rest of the saga.
Daily activities
In Fallout 76 we will have several daily activities to complete once we have completed our story missions (or during) and we want to continue completing objectives to advance our character. These activities are divided into several groups:
- Daily activities: the dungeon equivalent of any role-playing game; Each day the operation will have different affixes and enemy types, resulting in some truly dangerous combinations. Better rewards are obtained based on the time taken to complete, with the best being Al complete the operation in exactly 8 minutes or less.
- Shipments: would be a longer dungeon than the daily operation, with the advantage that There is no need to complete it within a certain time to receive rewards, although yes, there will be different objectives inside that will need to be completed if you want to receive as many rewards as possible.
- Public events: Every few minutes, the game activates and updates public events in which you can register and complete the different objectives requested by each, to receive the rewards. In case there is special seasonal events, these are activated every hour on the hour.
- World bosses (nuclear bosses): In Appalachia, the Fallout 76 map, there are several areas where Players can throw a nuclear bomb and thus activate a more dangerous world boss. than any other enemy to which the more players there are, the better to defeat it. It’s a very uphill battle, keep that in mind.
As you can see, there will be no shortage of activities to keep you entertained for hours while you want to play Fallout 76. We encourage you to try each of the activities, they are very fun and lucrative for your character.
Equipment and its maintenance
Like any other Fallout, One of the most important parts of your progress will be to properly maintain your equipment and collect scrap metal so you can repair, build, etc.. By discarding weapons, armor and scrap metal of all kinds, you will generate scrap metal with which you can then repair your equipment, or modify it and build new toys to slaughter the aberrations of the Wasteland.
Scrap metal is heavy, sure, but in all the important buildings on the map, like the Whitespring Hotel or the train stations, you can find a hiding place (they’re all connected) where you can store everything that leaves your back destroyed by excessive weight. And it is also not necessary to have this scrap in your inventory to repair or craft items, they are used directly from the supply.
In the case of armor and weapons that you collect, you will sometimes see that they have a “+” next to the name, this is an indication that if you break this piece you will learn a new modification for that type of weapon or armor, thereby improving the equipment you craft and use. Yet, The recommendation is that you take and recycle absolutely EVERYTHING you find on your way, it will be very useful to you.
The negative point of all this is that unlike other Fallouts, here the ammo weighs well, but don’t worry, there are ways to reduce its weight in the next section: SPECIAL configurations!
You are special
In Fallout 76Your character build will be built with cards, and believe me when I tell you it’s the best system ever. To fall to build characters. Cards are obtained by increasing the levels with the character (they are infinite, but officially the “maximum” level that the game considers for your character is 50) and with them you can do what you want: delete them and change at will. anytime, cool, right?
When your character reaches level 50, you will have a total of 49 points to distribute between the different attributes: strength, resistance, agility, etc… to reach the maximum level you choose, which would be 15 points. In other words, the maximum you can enforce, for example, would be 15 points.
Once the points are distributed as you see fit, you can put cards in each section and Each of them has its own modifier. In the case of strength, there are cards that improve melee damage, for example. Others are used to carry more weight or scrap metal, ammunition, etc.
Each card is “unique” and has different levels of improvement. For example, there are cards that only have one level of improvement (1 star), others can go up 3 levels to be at their maximum (3 stars) and the largest have 5 levels ( 5 stars). Each of these levels or stars is determined by a point in this special branch. In other words, if you have 3 points in strength, you can only put 3 cards of 1 star each, or 1 card of 3 stars. You can change them and reset special points as many times as you want, don’t be afraid to make mistakes and experiment.
Your CAMP, your home
Did you think that in Fallout 76 Couldn’t you have your own house furnished to your liking? Well, you are wrong from start to finish.. This game has taken construction mode to the next level so you can create truly amazing houses, Fully furnished and decorated down to the smallest detail. And yes, at home you can set up all the workstations to have everything you need at your fingertips without having to navigate the map.
From floating houses in the air to gigantic underground shelters, in Fallout 76 you can make the craziest builds of your dreams, and everyone knows that the real thing end of Game of a game, it is the accommodation, truth? TRUTH?
The future of Fallout 76
We don’t know exactly how long they plan to keep this game alive, but something interesting is that all the expansions and new content they release for Fallout 76 are completely free, and that is appreciated. The care they have put into this game since its launch is commendable and the best thing we can do as players is to repay them by playing it and having a good time.
The next content expansion, Horizon Valleywill be released in June and will thus expand the main area of the map to a new unexplored region, full of new events and a new Nuclear boss community that seems to be the most difficult yet, will the inhabitants of the Wasteland be ready to survive it?
