After the success of the first season of Fallout, it sounds likely that Prime Video will want to stick with the format for a while.
Fallout Season 2 was promptly ordered after the first season was released just a few days earlier. It is now becoming clear how long fans will be able to enjoy new adventures from the Wasteland.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter Showrunner Graham Wagner said that they had jokingly talked about billions of seasons in order to avoid having to give a concrete answer to the question of how many seasons Fallout will ultimately have.
“We hope to be able to end each season reasonably satisfactorily, reasonably openly. We’ve already talked about three seasons, we’ve talked about five seasons. Considering the success of the series, five seasons suddenly sounds much more interesting.”
But Wagner also points out that the industry is unpredictable and that’s why they want to treat each season as if it were the last.
Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who is responsible for the creative direction of Fallout along with Wagner, also said that there were so many things that they wanted to include in Season 1 that will now be incorporated into Fallout Season 2. Aside from the fact that the Fallout team is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue the story, they also feel that they are much further along in their work on the second season.
