Steam allows you to share games with the new family account. But there are a few things to keep in mind.
Steam Families offers you the opportunity to share games within the family. Up to five people can be added to the group. They can then access the title purchased once in the library.
Another advantage: As long as the game in question is part of the Steam Families offer, you don’t even have to be online to play. Parents can also block their children’s access to certain games to ensure child protection.
There is a catch, however: If two or more people want to play the same game at the same time, you must have purchased it a certain number of times. So while you can access the same account and play different games at the same time, you will still need to make a double purchase if you want to play the same game at the same time.
As was also announced, members can be removed at any time by an adult member of the group. If a slot becomes free, it cannot be filled again for one year.
