A franchise designed for those who have always dreamed of owning a farm but live in the middle of a big city and have little or no experience with plows and animals, comes with another edition of the Xbox series in 2021.
Farming Simulator 22 is the last installment of an IP that debuted in 2008 and to the surprise of many it has become such a profitable hit that since 2019 it has its own Esports league, it is even estimated that the series in total has sold 25 million copies on all its platforms.
You will (virtually) harvest your crops in Farming Simulator 22
The video the developers posted as tease doesn’t show much of what the game will be but the official blog of the title provides much more detail. In principle, one of the novelties that get the most attention is the addition of a change of season that will test the crops in freezing weather and in times of winter drought. In turn, the machines will be renewed with new equipment to accompany new crops that will be added with maps never seen before.
It will be the first opus to land on the current generation of consoles, a platform on which the franchise has taken a very good foundation since its first opus on Xbox 360 and PS3 with Farming Simulator 13.
As well as being announced for Xbox Series X / S, the game will also arrive on PC, Stadia, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 at the end of this 2021. If you’re still not quite sure what it is, you can check out our review of the latest version and think about adding it to your Christmas 2021 list.
