On January 27, fifteen custom video game kiosks – Gamer Outreach Karts (“Go Karts”) – began on the field, the future initiative, in the UCSF health system, including San Francisco Benioff Children's Hospital. Go karts are portable video game kiosks for hospitals. Each of these units is equipped with an Xbox, controllers and a selection of video games. The devices are used in hospitals to offer children entertaining and therapeutic activities that receive medical care, and will perform the healing power of the game in the entire UCSF health system every year through an estimated forty -four gaming experiences.
On January 28, EA Sports organized 150 -flag football players and 50 children's hospital patients in her office in Redwood Shores. Young football players and Madden players had the opportunity to promote their skills, passion and knowledge of sport. The participants received office tours, two educational meetings on the future of games and technology with our own team of development, a panel with Kristin Juszczyk and our SVP Andrea Hopelain and the chance that Madden Field for Flag football, drills and scrimmages led by San Francisco Meeting 49ers own Kyle Juszczyk and 49ers legend Larry Grant.
