Indulge in some cartoon violence as you pummel tourists to collect their body parts for the fiendish dishes demanded by the dark god Hoochooboo. Choose a voodoo power like fire breath or mind-blowing stomp, adorn your chef, and test your skills in locations ranging from trap-filled temples to idyllic beaches and living volcanoes. Special “Boss” levels present a unique challenge that may not have anything to do with cooking! The entire 24-level campaign can be played with one to four people… and if you get tired of working together, play in versus mode and try to outdo your former friends!
The Curse of the Scarab King
January 25th is the perfect time to start cooking cannibals because we’re also releasing a brand new free expansion campaign! The Curse of the Scarab King adds five new levels and a new challenge level where you have to face the Scarab King himself. The expansion has a desert theme (very) loosely inspired by ancient Egyptian imagery, with new environments and restless mummies instead of tourists.
New mechanics include switch-controlled bridges (try not to throw your friends in the drink) and additional deadly traps that can be disabled…temporarily. Take out the deadly green rays by chasing a scarab, stealing its gem and placing it in the gem socket. This will only be a brief respite though, so you’d better coordinate with your co-op partners for the best results. Or just learn to dodge really well?
Last but not least, there is a collection of new cosmetic items to dress up your chef! Take a Roman style plumed helmet with a scimitar or perhaps a tasteful fez combined with a very sharp blade? And of course, these new items can be mixed and matched with the classic choices, giving you more weapon and hat combos to choose from than ever before!
