Fallout: New Mexico shines with its first gameplay, clearly showing its commitment to the franchise’s original formula.
Fallout New Vegas, created by Obsidian, is one of the most beloved Fallouts among fans. While many of us still dream of the possibility of a New Vegas 2 (Obsidian and Bethesda are now part of Microsoft and many of us aren't losing hope), the fan community continues to create content and experiences for the original game.
Within all their creativity is a group that spent a lot of time developing an unofficial expansion, titled New Mexico, which they released their first gameplay today.
Fallout: New Mexico will offer a classic experience of the saga
Set in the Tibbet prison in the year 2166, this expansion is inspired by the early Fallout games. It's set five years after the franchise's first installment, and our choices will change the world, for better or for worse. Moreover, the development team has confirmed that it is developed under the Fallout: New Vegas engine and will be completely free, offering a brand new experience in true Fallout style. Something the first 18-minute gameplay preview makes clear.

Fallout: New Mexico will offer more than three unique companions, with revamped companions and an affinity system. Without a doubt, a new version that has nothing to envy to the other great fan project of the franchise, Fallout: London. Finally, note that this new experience will only be available on PC and you will need to own Fallout: New Vegas to play it.
