First impressions of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are very positive

Circle, great, impressions, Indiana, Jones, positive

Several specialized media have already been able to play the new Bethesda and Xbox title.

As you may have already seen, several media outlets have published their first impressions of Indiana Jones and the Great Circlethe next game from MachineGames and Bethesda. We leave you what the different media have said about it, starting with IGN:

“I don’t know if executive producer Todd Howard, who proposed this idea to Lucasfilm many years ago, had MachineGames in mind when he proposed it. But the duo works wonderfully and I’m impatiently awaiting the continuation of Indy’s latest adventure.

GameSpot seemed very excited about this as well:

“Indiana Jones and the Great Circle seems to be an amalgamation of several genres, but it is able to find the right balance between them. Everything is meant to honor the spirit of Indiana Jones, the professor, archaeologist and adventurer. While 90 minutes wasn’t enough time to enjoy everything the game has to offer, it did give me a taste of a type of puzzle adventure game rarely seen in the AAA world. “This is shaping up to be an impressive showcase of MachineGames’ toolset and understanding of how to shape game design around its protagonist and story.”

Our colleagues at Eurogamer They think the game hit the nail on the head with its “sense of adventure”:

“It’s a wonderful love letter to Indiana Jones, just as Rogue City was to Robocop and to anyone who considers themselves a fan of the film trilogy (there were definitely only three films, I don’t know what you’re talking about) should have it on their radar.”

PC Mag also thinks it has a lot of promise:

“I only played Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for a little over two hours. So I still don’t know how the story will evolve and if it will live up to the first Indy films. But despite some things that haven’t convinced me too much, so far I’ve liked what I’ve seen. I just hope MachineGames can improve some of the combat and provide enough excitement and solid gameplay throughout the entire experience, which promises to take place in exotic locations around the world.

And GamesRadar found it true to Indy’s character:

“I left the adventure with the feeling that this is the closest thing to an Indiana Jones film. While this involves a lot more stealth than I expected, it fits Indy’s character type (he’s not a bullet-spitting Nathan Drake) and I found it very satisfying to take out the enemies and cross the environment without being seen. So far, I’ve only gotten a taste of what’s to come, but I can’t wait to experience the larger vision of MachineGames’ version of this beloved character. »

Indiana Jones’ Next Adventure is coming to Xbox and PC on December 9, and yes, it’s also coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
