Developer Microids announced that development of Flashback 2 for Xbox, PlayStation and PC has started.
After almost three decades, Microids announces that there will be a successor to Flashback. Released in 1992, the game was ahead of its time with innovative gameplay and breathtaking character animations.
Paul Cuisset, from the Microids development studio, will take over the management of the Flashback 2 team and has already announced that Conrad B. will again be the main character in the action platformer.
“Developing a sequel to Flashback is an idea that I’ve had for a long time. I can’t wait for players to discover the new adventures of Conrad B. Hart, a character who was created almost 30 years ago. With Microids, we really aim to please the fans of the original title and at the same time appeal to all players who have a thing for futuristic games, ”added Paul Cuisset.
It is also a great honor for Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids:
“We’re super excited to offer fans a sequel to this masterpiece in French video game history. At Microids, we love to deliver projects that highlight the craft of talented people. Flashback 2 will be released for consoles and PC in 2022. Further information is not yet known.
