A beta of the next Starfield update will contain quest fixes and other improvements.
Bethesda Game Studios has released the next update for Starfield for beta participants. It will also be released to all players soon.
Highlights of the update include general performance and stability improvements, as well as the return of the uncapped frame rate option for Xbox Series X.

Generally
- General performance and stability improvements.
- The unlimited frame rate option is available again for Xbox Series X users.
- The Message of the Day is now displayed more consistently on Xbox.
- Fixed an issue where some console commands did not disable certain achievements.
- Shattered Space ownership is now displayed correctly for Steam users.
Gameplay
- Annihilator Particle Beam’s sustained damage effect no longer triggers pet reactions.
- Fixed an issue with the Leadership skill that could cause companions to remain silent.
- Improved the functionality of the sneak bar near large NPC groups.
- Fixed an issue where destroyed ships could be loaded without collision.
- Fixed an issue where loading a save that required missing content could position players in an unwanted location.
- Tracker Alliance – Roach now correctly counts the number of bounty orders completed.
- Tracker Alliance – Bounty targets now spawn in Akila City, Gagarin, and Cydonia.
- Tracker Alliance – Fixed an issue that allowed players to obtain additional credits by blackmailing and then killing a target.
- Tracker Alliance – Bounty targets should now have more diverse appearances.
- Tracker Alliance – Bounty targets are now removed after players deal with them and leave the area.
- Tracker Alliance – Blackmailing or bribing a bounty target no longer automatically results in success.

- The Star Thief – When players board the Junk Watchdog, the correct quest objective will be displayed.
- Legacy of the Fang – Fixed an issue where the key could no longer open the door after players left the area.
- The Duel – If players attack Danika and are arrested, they can now speak to her afterwards to complete the quest.
- The Scaled Citadel – Anasko’s ID Key is now marked as a quest item.
- What Remains – Fixed an issue where the hatch on the Oracle might not be possible to interact with if players had certain Creations installed.
- What Remains – The access card for the technology station is now marked as a quest item.
- A House Divided – The doors in the Radiology Center will remain unlocked during this quest if players leave and return to the area.
- A House Divided – Players can now receive the Key Card from Madri after completing the quest.
- Overzealousness – Fixed an issue that could occur if the Va’ruun fanatics outside of Shadow Station Epsilon were killed before receiving the quest.
- Overzealousness – Fixed an issue that could prevent players from speaking to Razma or Viktor if the quest “A Matter of Conviction” was started at the same time.
- Overzealousness – Disturbing vortex phantoms no longer appear near the negotiation scene.
