Developed and published by Fun Dog Studios, Eternal winter it’s a cooperative tactical shooter Survival horror in which you and your team must loot the dead to survive in the shadow of terrifying and gargantuan war machines engaged in endless conflict.
Eternal winter impresses with its trailer
The studio’s CEO and creative director, Miles Williams, comments: “In Forever Winter, it’s not about being the biggest or strongest, but about outwitting your enemies and making the most of whatever resources you find. Survival is your greatest achievement, because there are only three types of scavengers: the fastest, the smartest, and the dead. I can’t wait for people to get their hands on it, and it will be available in early access very soon. But the game’s release is just the beginning. We look forward to working closely with our community to refine and develop the game while there is love for a dark future.
Here are its main characteristics:
- Prepare for hell: Players gather at the Community Center, where they can shop from vendors for weapons, pharmaceuticals, and additional equipment to prepare for the maze that awaits them.
- PvEvE scenario system: Enemies have their own goals and agendas, operate in coordinated groups, and wage large-scale battles. The enemy AI divides enemies into squads based on their current objectives, with each squad reacting differently to the player’s actions.
- Face the cold challenges that await you: Although survival is always the main objective, players can earn more XP, equipment and money by accepting missions. Each mission has different threat levels based on its risk and reward: harder missions give higher reputation rewards that increase your standing in the faction, earn more credits, and reward you with more powerful gear.
- Increase your skills and equip yourself to survive– Spend resources accumulated between sessions to improve your health, speed, accuracy and reload speed, giving you a fighting chance against the relentless enemies of The Eternal Winter.
- Favor discretion and teamwork– Coordinate with your team to outwit your enemies and avoid detection to win the game, or tactically plan battles and ambushes to win guerrilla engagements. Don’t confront the enemy. You won’t live to tell this story.
- Death is just the beginning (again): If your team dies, the race is over. And death does not forgive. If you fall in combat, you will lose everything that was in your inventory for that session and will have to start from scratch. Build a reserve in the base between sessions to maintain the advantage in the future.
