As part of Update 8 for Forza Motorsport 2023, the safety rating system is undergoing an overhaul.
Update 8 for Forza Motorsport is online and, in addition to plenty of new events for single-player and multiplayer, also provides the racing simulation with long-requested improvements, such as an overhaul of the safety rating system.
The safety rating for multiplayer mode now includes the last 20 races in the rating instead of the last 10 as before. Collisions now have a greater impact on the rating. Thanks to an improved matchmaking algorithm, players are more likely to meet players with a security rating close to their own.
In the Livery Editor, a new option allows you to uniformly convert all vinyl on a vehicle from matt to glossy. In free play and private multiplayer, the wear rate of the tires can be individually configured. Unnecessary and illogical braking scenarios of AI opponents have been removed.
The 2020 KTM X-Bow GT2 and 2020 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 have been removed from the Forza GT Series and are now part of the Modern Factory Racecar Series in Featured Multiplayer. The Forza GT Series also has a new entry with the 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935.
Numerous corrections and improvements were made to both the Maple Valley and Mid-Ohio routes. The former appears in Mobil 1 design thanks to a new partnership.
In the upcoming career events, players can squeal the tires with spotlight vehicles such as the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, the 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS, the Caterham R500 or the 2019 Elemental RP1 under the Track Toys motto.
Multiplayers can expect the Lotus 3-Eleven Spec Series, the Early Factory Racecar Series, the Mazda Miata Spec Series, the Modern Factory Racecar Series as well as various Open Series and Spotlight Series. Best time hunters will get their money’s worth thanks to numerous new rival challenges.
