The sequel to the 2D platformer will first appear on Steam on September 13, 2022. But this Thursday, the studio GalaxyTrail announced the release of freedom planet 2 on consoles for next year. With a total of four playable characters, you can enjoy the game in three different ways. the adventure mode offers to follow the story step by step. It will be possible to interact with over 100 NPCs and gradually discover the many mysteries of the title. the Classic mode meanwhile, caters to those who prefer to immerse themselves in the action without going through the journey or dialogue stages. Finally, the “Battlesphere Arena‘ allows you to fight head-to-head against enemies and even bosses that you’ve encountered before.
As for the new mechanics, we first note the presence of a Disposable resurrection item. Then Frogwares provided a feature permanent guard, for the less adventurous players. And finally, a new inventory system will add a new dimension to the fights, with items that also give different types of bonuses customizable potions.
freedom planet 2 will come out in summer 2023 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Oneas well as on Playstation 5, Playstation 4 and Switch.
