With Freelancer, the developers are putting mission planning in the hands of Hitman 3 players.
Today IO Interactive introduced the new Freelancer mode for Hitman 3, which will be available to all owners of Hitman: World of Assassination (as Hitman 3 will soon be called) starting January 26th.
Hitman: Freelancer requires the strategic planning of the player himself. Because in contrast to the normal game, there will be no organization behind Agent 47 that will provide him with detailed briefings about his mission or provide him with equipment. Many elements are determined by chance.
The construction and maintenance of arsenal and equipment must be done by yourself. So is deciding what to take with you on a mission and whether you want to risk losing valuable gear.
You also have the choice of which Syndicate to take on, which will also be guided by your preference for locations, playstyle, or an aversi on to certain crimes.
The absence of a handler also allows them to do their own reconnaissance and investigative work by identifying targets in Showdown missions.
The success of a mission in Freelancer depends on you and your previous planning and reconnaissance. But even then, according to the developers, there should be no guarantee of success for a goal.
