Frostpunk 2, the second installment in 11 bit studio’s city-building society survival series, is now available for PC, with the console version coming next year. The sequel to 2018’s best-seller Frostpunk has received a warm reception from the media, despite sending players into the icy post-apocalypse once again.
During the development of Frostpunk 2, the main focus was to create a worthy sequel that stays true to its origins while expanding the core gameplay in new and exciting ways.
It’s encouraging to see the game described as everything “players could want from a sequel,” as well as “a sequel that takes the exciting cold-survival city-building core of Frostpunk and develops it in every way.”
The game was also called a “challenging strategy game that stands out from the crowd”, “the most immersive city builder” since the original, and a title that “expands the possibilities of what a city builder and survival experience can do”.
After years of hard work, 11 bit studios is delighted with the praise and recognition from fans, creators and the media.
Frostpunk 2 is available now on PC, including through PC Game Pass and the physical boxed edition produced in collaboration with Skybound Games. The Limited Special Edition includes a layered shadow box containing the Deluxe Edition of the game, postcards, a metal keychain, a faction patch, and stickers.
