Frostpunk 2 is just around the corner and 11 bit studios proudly presents a cinematic trailer that bridges the gap between the first and second parts of the acclaimed city-building and social survival series.
The video, which serves as the intro to the sequel, takes a poignant look at the aging, tired captain from the first film, who “held New London together” in his heyday.
After 30 years of enduring the relentless whiteouts, the crumbling British Empire still clings to survival, but as the Captain’s final breath leaves his body, he realises that mere survival is no longer enough in today’s world.
On the more informational side, 11 bit studios have also prepared their themed “11 Facts” trailer, but with a unique twist. Quickly walking players through the main features of Frostpunk 2 and the changes from the first game, this video features the citizens of New London themselves, sharing their hopes and concerns about the future of the city.
Frostpunk 2 will be released on PC on September 20, with early access available for those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition starting September 17. The game will also be available on day one via PC Game Pass, with a console version coming later.
