The studio that brought Yakuza to life unveils its new video game concept
SEGA It's still there, but it's at an enviable time in the industry, and with Century ProjectRyo Ga Gotoku confirms that he is on the rise and continues to announce new titles. In a few months, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza on Hawaii will arrive, but the formula that made it successful has been revisited.
During the Game Awards gala, Project Century, which has not yet announced platforms (with SEGA's good agreement with Xbox I don't see the game in danger) or release date, showed up in a band -ad leaving a strong impression. Street fights in Japan in 1915, with lots of blood and much more explicit violence than in the studio's other titles.
This is a new concept shrouded in mystery, and might even be a code name until the game is announced later, with new details and actual gameplay of the title. We hope they move away a little from the dynamics of Yakuza, Like a Dragon or Judgment, which, although they are excellent games, we want to see something different.
The studio confirmed during the trailer that the video was made with pre-alpha material of the title, so we could see it in 2025 and it will be released the following year. We will be very attentive to the next updates of this Project Century.
