Ghostbusters and Studios Pack Bring movie magic to Planet Coaster: Console Edition

We look forward to exciting news about the Planet Coaster: Console Edition‘s upcoming DLC. We’re bringing not just one, but two incredible packs to Planet Coaster, both of which pop with amazing new rides, stunning new scenery, blueprints, props, sound effects, and more.

Ghost hunters is our love letter for the hit film from 1984, and the Studios Pack is a spectacular homage to the canvas. Before going later this week for Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One are released, we’re here to give you all the important details.

Let’s talk first Ghost hunters. We have put all of our love, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the franchise into this package and we really believe it will show. Simply put, this is totally authentic Ghostbusters promotion that anyone can enjoy. Whether you are familiar with the exploits of Raymond “Ray” Stantz and Co. or are completely new to the thrill of excitement, you will be delighted.

Ghost hunters features a new flat ride, new coaster, and a range of components and decorations to help you build your own official Ghostbusters themed areas. We’re especially proud of the Ghostbusters Experience, a unique dark ride where guests literally destroy ghosts with their own packets of protons. Collect points and aim for the highscore table in this interactive experience while you or your guests drive the ECTO-1 and clear haunted places.

The brand new coaster cannot be overlooked either. It’s called RollerGhoster, a children’s train run by Slimer himself. The goo-green spirit guides pull-carts around a moderately fast, twisting and twisting stretch – perfect for some of your park’s younger guests. Obviously you want to make the areas around these rides as eye-catching as possible, and we have just the thing for that: hundreds of scene pieces and sounds straight from the movie, including the Ghostbusters HQ, Spook Central, and ECTO-1.

Build haunted hotels with colorful, translucent ghosts lurking in them. Introduce a towering Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to greet visitors. and even play through a brand new storytelling campaign. The campaign employs the talents of Dan Aykroyd and William Atherton, who express their roles as co-founders of Ghostbusters, Raymond Stantz, and Special Agent Walter Peck. Spearhead exploits to rid your attractions of ghosts and protect guests from paranormal phenomena. So be ready to take the call – the Ghostbusters need your help.

Next we’ll talk that Studios Pack. It contains everything you need to build epic sets, blockbuster set pieces, and great tours that your guests will love. We’ve spanned multiple genres here, so we’ve got Wild West props that you can use to design old-school shootouts, zombie animatronics for intense horror vibes, and rigged vehicles that tip over and crash so you can create chaotic inner cities . My personal favorite is the train we designed to go straight off the tracks – this will shock anyone at the food court.

Not only do we have movie vibes, but we also offer a range of elements that are perfect for creating behind the scenes things: green screens, cameras, clapboards, and even crew members in various poses. These are great on their own, but they’re even better when used in conjunction with the Big Screen Tour, one of three new theatrical tours in the Studios Pack. The Big Screen Tour is the Hollywood Backlot Tour experience that comes to life as adjustable length powered buses immerse guests in elements from the big screen. This would be a good place to take advantage of our new basking shark animatronics …

And let’s not forget our other two trips. Re-Motion is an advanced simulator that places guests in pods controlled by an adjustable robotic arm. That way, you can tilt and rotate them in any direction, creating a 360-degree movie mayhem.

Finally, there’s Horror Heights, a classic drop tower ride designed to work inside buildings and drop guests several floors in seconds. What’s even better, you can put up multiple drops – if they think the ride is over, drop them again! The blueprint included in the package is in an office building overflowing with the undead. Here the drivers are in a runaway elevator that takes them from the fire escape on the roof to an underground car park filled with zombies.
