The Apex Legends Global Series is taking place in Germany for the first time.
Electronic Arts and Respawn announce that the second split of the Apex Legends Global Series will take place in Germany.
The playoffs, in which teams from all over the world will compete for a total of one million US dollars in prize money and the playoffs trophy, will take place from August 29th to September 1st in the SAP Arena in Mannheim.
“The Split 2 Playoffs mark the highly anticipated return of Apex Legends esports to Europe and our first ALGS event in Germany,” said John Nelson, Senior Director of Esports at EA Entertainment.
“With previous stops in the UK, the USA and now Germany, we are offering even more ALGS action for fans from all over the world.”
The competitions will take place in the SAP Arena in Mannheim, one of the largest high-tech entertainment venues in Germany, which regularly hosts international sporting events and concerts. The ALGS Split 2 playoffs are the first professional esports event to be held in the arena.
The top 40 Apex Legends teams from around the world will be there in August, competing on the big stage for the second time this year. Teams like Team Falcons, Fnatic, Fennel, Legends Gaming and many more will be competing this summer, looking to maintain their place in the ALGS.
