Prepare for a titan fight as the Godzilla vs. Kong collaboration begins at the beginning of the May update for World of Warships: Legends. The collaboration comes with new events such as revised ranked battles and a campaign to get a new French battleship.
First and foremost is the legendary Battle of the Monsters between Godzilla and Kong. During the May update, you can pair the unique commanders Godzilla and Kong with special effects and abilities for your Japanese and American battleships, as well as the exclusive premium ships Heat Ray and Primal. In addition, the legendary titans tower over these ships in the harbor, waiting to go into battle. Make sure you stock up on Godzilla vs. Kong camouflage and supplies before they’re gone!
Ranked battles are returning with a new format that is sure to be interesting. As you move through the rows it gets harder. The update includes two seasons, and each season is divided into three leagues determined by your rank. Each league becomes more difficult, with a higher tier, fewer players on each team, and fewer losers to keep a star. The rewards are bigger than ever, including steel, commander advancement items, and even some doubloons. Climb through the rows and reach the top to get them all.
These aren’t the only events, there is also a new campaign for a French Tier VII battleship, “A Tall Glass of Victory”. If you haven’t guessed it, this ship is named after the famous Champagne province and its festive drink. Based on the Gascon design but with six powerful and precise 406mm / 50 cannons and a higher speed, the champagne is also a bit fragile as a wine glass. The campaign runs for 5 weeks and has 100 milestones with lots of rewards along the way.
A surprising addition are two new Legendary Tier ships and office projects. The American light cruiser Worcester is making a permanent return to bring her double-purpose heavy fire with 152mm cannons, which means she can put a wall of fiery flake as well as a hail of shells on enemy ships. Meanwhile, the large French destroyer Klėber joins in as an extremely fast skirmisher. These two legendary step ships are available for research in the office. Start with them!
