The game was originally released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 17, 2013, and even today, many users continue to enjoy this great title on these systems. However, it seems that the time has finally come to close this step, and it is that Rockstar has just announced that the complete closure of Grand Theft Auto Online in its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions
Grand Theft Auto Online on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will drop on December 16
This information was recently disclosed in the official forum from Rockstar itself, and while it’s sad news for users who continue to enjoy this title on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it was something that had to happen sooner or later.
As we continue to move forward with updates and support for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto Online, as well as preparing for this fall’s releases of new, expanded and improved versions of Grand Theft Auto. V and Grand Theft Auto Online on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA Online, including stats tracking through Rockstar Games Social Club, will officially shut down on December 16, 2021
GTA Online has been available on both platforms for almost 8 years, during which gave us many hours of fun and it has allowed us to forge friendships with other players around the world. Now, the old version of GTA Online is saying goodbye to make way for the new content that will receive the title in the quarter of this year.
