GRANDIA HD Collection is a remaster of the first two games which arrived on several platforms in the late 90s and early 2000s.
GungHo Online Entertainment to be released GRANDIA HD Collection for Xbox and Playstation on March 26. This collection includes Grandia I, released in 1997 for the Sega Saturn, although the title later arrived on several platforms due to its success. It also includes Grandia II, released exclusively for Dreamcast, a game that also landed on other consoles some time later.
This remaster is not new since it was launched in 2019 for PC and Switch, more precisely in August 2019. In summary, this GRANDIA HD Collection includes GRANDIA HD Remaster and GRANDIA II HD Remaster, both available individually for PC via Steam.
Pre-orders from physical edition They will open via Limited Run Games (Xbox One and PS4) on March 15 and close on April 14. Although you should know that as in the Swith and PC port, the Spanish language is not included here either, something that we do not understand very well, when for example it is in German.
Main features of the GRANDIA HD collection
- Two role-playing games which define the genre: GRANDIA and GRANDIA II. These games send players on epic adventures with protagonists Justin and Ryudo, respectively, to explore the worlds of GRANDIA and protect them from evil forces.
- Two nostalgic stories – Fans will once again be able to follow the two iconic journeys into the world of GRANDIA with several improvements. Discover what lies beyond the End of the World with young adventurer Justin in GRANDIA, and centuries later, protect the world from eternal darkness with mercenary Ryudo in GRANDIA II.
- Visually modernized– This version of GRANDIA and GRANDIA II features an improved user interface, sprites and textures that bring the iconic look of retro classics to contemporary standards, including widescreen support and visually enhanced original cutscenes.
- Classic old-fashioned combat – The GRANDIA series features classic RPG combat, with physical attacks and elemental spells in a combat system combining real-time and turn-based mechanics. The addition of Hard mode provides players with a memorable challenge as they explore the world of GRANDIA II.
- Language support – GRANDIA HD Collection includes Japanese and English audio options, as well as language support for English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
