Grounded’s latest Super Duper update is coming today!

The Grounded Team is excited to announce update 1.2 to the community today. Aptly dubbed the Super Duper Update, this massive update brings with it many quality of life improvements, 100+ new items to craft, a brand new base comfort feature, and the terrifying new wasps.

Starting with the update’s title element, players will find the Super Duper Machine the next time they visit BURG.L in the Oak Tree Lab. This duplication engine allows players to duplicate specific gear and items using Raw Science.

To make this even more helpful to players, each duplicated item contains all of the item’s upgrades, which is sure to save a lot of time when you and your friends need to quickly gear up to go adventuring again. In order to use the Super Duper Machine, players must find Duper Discs throughout the courtyard, which give the player the ability to duplicate various items. Happy hunting!

For players who really want to spice up their bases and create a new home in the backyard, a base home comfort system has been added where buildings, furniture and decorations now contribute to the home comfort of your base. Unlocking coziness tiers also unlocks certain decorative building recipes, a beneficial base-building mutation, and even new emotes that can only be unlocked by building coziness in your base.

To help players with their bases and work towards reaching those coziness levels, this update also brings nearly 100 new crafting items that you and your friends can use to build the base of your dreams. The community has already demonstrated a talent for creative bases, and we’re excited to see what new masterpieces you’ll create with the additional building blocks and furniture.

That’s just part of what’s on offer, as players can now meet a new friend to help them with all their base building plans. Meet the “handy mosquito” that you can summon and then use to turn all your basic ideas into reality. This Gnat can build using planks, sticks, and other resources from your supplies. This feature is active by default in the Creative and Creative with Bugs game modes. In order to activate this new friend in the Survival game modes, players will need to convert their games to Custom Games in the Game Settings menu, which is just a small step to taking advantage of such an amazing resource (and friend)!

Turrets have been changed and we have combined the Pebblet Turret and Pollen Turret to create the Acorn Turret. This turret uses different ammo types depending on the opponent. For example, Rocky Rounds can push creatures back, while Sappy Rounds are perfect ammo when you need to slow down your enemies. There are five different types of ammo you can use, and all of the ammo can be stored in a chest next to the turret, allow ing players to swap between ammo without leaving the turret seat.

Get ready to buzz with excitement when wasps invade the garden. Fight with wasps and drones guarding their mini hives in the upper courtyard. Also keep an eye out for the hidden main nest. A word of caution: anger her kin and you will unleash the full fury of the crush. And the players looking for a bigger challenge can try to find the Wasp Nest and meet the Wasp Queen, the newest creature boss, to enter the backyard! Players who successfully defeat these wasps will unlock new items to craft such as: B. a new armor set and a new trinket to wear.

Players on the go will be in for a pleasant surprise at how the team has succeeded Grounded on the official Steam Deck support list. That’s right! Those on Team Steam Deck can now enjoy it to the fullest Grounded wherever you are. That’s not all: From April 27th Grounded is hosting a Free Weekend on Steam through May 1st. This is the best time to bring your friends into the game and show them the amazing world you’ve built.
