A few months ago Rockstar announced its PC launcher, where we could have direct access to everything it had to offer. However, there were some shortcomings that were gradually resolved. An example is GTA IV, which disappeared from the PC for purchase, something that will be fixed soon.
So far, the game used Windows Live Games, a streaming platform that allowed for easy PC game sales. Its latest version was in 2014, so all the multiplayer services associated with it died at that time.
GTA IV and GTA: Episodes from Liberty City will return in March
The same is true announced that Gta IV will return to Steam and will be arriving at Rockstar Games Laucher next March 19th. Unfortunately, it cannot be done as it once was, and that is because multiplayer content and rates will be completely lost. This, as always, comes from the death of Windows Live Games.
In addition, and for a while, some radios will be lost. In particular, it's RamJam FM, Self-Renew FM and Vice City FM. The rest of the content will be in this Comprehensive Edition coming in just one month.
GTA IV Complete Edition will be free to those who had the first game
In addition to the departure, from Rodstar they announced how to achieve this perfect version depending on the game we had. Of course, we'll be able to buy it from March 19 if we want to have it on any of the two PC platforms.
If we previously had GTA IV, updating to this new version would be as easy as downloading an update that includes episodes from Liberty City. According to Rockstar, it will only be 6 GB. If on the other hand we have these episodes from Liberty City, the game will be deleted and full music installed, 22 GB downloads are required.
That is if we had a game on Steam, because it was also physically available. If we didn't redeem the code in Windows Live Games, that same code can now be used to get that Full Version without a problem.
If we were already running our own copy of the game, we would need to create or link a Social Club account to transfer the license and enter this Complete Edition without any problem. In any case, no one in any of these games will miss the opportunity.
