Ganryu 2: Hakuma Kojiro is a hack’n’slash inspired by the story of Takezo Musashi, The stone and the sword, published in the 1930s by Eiji Yoshikawa, is one of Japan’s most famous samurai stories. In this title, we will explore Japan through the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter, to overcome Kojiro in the floating fortress and save the country.
The title has the characteristic actions of a platform game such as running, double jumping, wall jumping and throwing kunai to defeat enemies. We can also use special abilities called Kamis. All this mixing results in a beautiful pixel-art game inspired by classics like shinobi 3 and ghost dancer.
It will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on April 22.
