Halo Infinite competitive multiplayer balance changes, 343 biggest bug

Not everyone here plays competitive Halo Infinite, but surely casual casual gaming if you get the chance to try. If you are one of those players who just have fun in quick games and do not care about very technical problems, keep in mind that 343 will not consider your opinion valid and that they are willing to scale down the experience to satisfy competitive gamers.

The balance changes for Halo Infinite’s second year of Halo Championship Series (HCS) are out, and the community isn’t too happy with the deal. Changes include weapon balancing, changes to map rotation, and layout in maps. These changes have no other meaning than to satisfy the competitive and professional community, but leaving out the majority of players who are not in this range.

Same Gears 5 problem in Halo Infinite, forget the casual community

343 is currently suffering because the updates they provide are ineffective in retaining audiences, and they lag behind on content, every change they implement must be an effort to improve the game’s sandbox. Now, and with this new update, it shows how the effort to please professionals results in a deviation from the original mission. The same thing happened in Gears 5, with massive support for professionals, leaving aside that there are players who do not understand the change in balance of a weapon that has not been broken .

Among the changes we find:

  • VK78 command:
    • Slight tweak to reduce efficiency. We felt like the winter update had pushed the needle a bit too far, coming back to find the sweet spot.
  • Spike Grenades:
    • Reduce randomness to alleviate frustration.
  • Disruptor:
    • Generally, we’re looking to reduce the weapon’s effectiveness and/or usefulness to find the sweet spot.
  • pulse rifle:
    • It will come out of the competition, explore a revamp in the future.
  • plasma gun:
    • Slight adjustment to reduce efficiency and find the sweet spot.
  • Ammo Reduction:
    • To compete, we’re reducing ammo for the Heatwave, Stalker Rifle, CQS48 Bulldog, and Shock Rifle.

Other details such as map rotation and balance changes can be found in the Halo Waypoint post.

If you’ve been interested in Competitive or HCS events, these changes can be considered a step forward. But, on the contrary, if you are not part of this community, you still have to wait for March for the third season of multiplayer.
