Whereas Halo infinity Released on December 2nd, the first season of its multiplayer mode has now been available for almost four months. While each season was originally intended to last three months, the first has been extended slightly to allow teams to progress properly on current projects. In a blog post halo waypoint, 343 Industries talks about the future content and the current roadmap.

Season 2 is called Lone Wolves

Season 2 of Halo infinity begins May 3, 2022 and will be invoked lone wolves. The theme will revolve around stalking Spartans, a concept of which you can see below:

The story of Spartan Academy continues

These Spartans are Sigrid Eklund and Hieu Dinh and we get to know them in the Season 2 storyline. This will be explained through a mix of cutscenes, story events, Battle Pass elements and other points that will revolve around this theme.

A new break

A new breach will also be present in Season 2, with new armor to unlock. You can see the concept art below:

New maps and game modes

The season will also bring its share of new features between game mode updates and new maps: an arena called Catalyst and a BTB Breaker map. There are also three game modes:

  • Last Spartan Standing: a free-for-all elimination mode
  • land grab
  • The Return ofking of the hill”

Co-op mode postponed!

However, not everything is rosy. If 343 Industries had promised the arrival of Season 2’s co-op campaign, we learn today that it will not be available at the beginning of the season.

We will not be able to launch the online co-op campaign on May 3rd at the start of Season 2. But we’re still aiming for a slightly later launch in Season 2 and will be announcing a launch date for that and the split-screen campaign as soon as we can.

We must therefore wait indefinitely to enjoy the surroundings of Halo Zeta with others. As for Forge, it is still planned for Season 3 and is being tested privately with various content creators from the Halo community.
