What a console, the Original Xbox remains one of my favorite machines. And in terms of matches, it remained halfway. Microsoft has opted for 360 and left the first machine somewhat abandoned. I remember you could even put Linux in there if you didn’t mind betting on homebrew.
The fact is that this console is still present in the homes of many of us, and some of us wish that it could be used on modern televisions. Remember that it still works via an RGB cable, so an adapter is required to convert this output to HDMI.
189 dollars are to blame
The company XBHD already sold their HDMI adapter for the original Xbox, and from what I was able to investigate, it works quite well, although I can’t speak first hand since I haven’t tested it personally. The fact is that they have now released a new version called “Halo Spartan Edition” and that fundamentally changes the packaging of the adapter.
It will now display as if it were the Halo Classic Edition for the original Xbox. The adapter allows for up to three rear network cables and two HDMI connectors. Its price is 189 dollars.
