The wait hasn’t been long for Hellblade 2 players, as update 1.0.5.0 was released just two weeks after the title’s launch. Ninja Theory has worked to fix any bugs or issues found in the game, and now we can enjoy a smoother and worry-free gaming experience.

The update covers a wide range of fixes, from minor UI changes to fixes related to combat and animation issues. One of the most notable changes is fix large text size option, which pushed the UI elements out of bounds. Additionally, a warning message has been added when selecting the “New Story” option, to avoid errors saving progress.

Not only bugs have been fixed, but some visual and sound improvements have also been added. In-combat sound effects have been improved and missing sound effects have been added in some areas of the game. Combat events have also been adjusted and FSR3 artifacts have been improved.

Additionally, ghosting issues have been fixed when running frame generation and ultra-wide has been fixed during the Chapter 3 cutscene. The update also includes localization fixes and fixes tree collision in chapter 2 settlement puzzle.

  • Added a warning message when selecting “New Story”, as this option resets the progress of the currently saved story.

  • Fixed tree collisions in the Chapter 2 settlement puzzle.
  • Fixed a crash when closing photo mode after prolonged play.

The truth is that in my brief experience with the game I didn’t encounter any of these problems, but it’s still appreciated that they were so perfectionist. Besides, if you haven’t already done so, I recommend that you read my colleague Pedro’s analysis.
