EA SPORTS announces driver rankings in F1 24

Electronic Arts, in collaboration with Formula 1, is celebrating the launch of the digitally exclusive F1 24 Champions Edition with the release of the F1 24 Driver Ratings.

During the EMILIA ROMAGNA GRAND PRIX race weekend, many of the 20 drivers found time to guess their rating, with every reaction and emotion captured on camera.

As in previous seasons, the F1 24 driver ratings are based on the following criteria in addition to the overall points score:

  • Experience (EXP): The number of race starts a driver has completed throughout his career.
  • Racing Skill (RAC): The ability to work your way through the field and finish in a higher position.
  • Attention (AWA): The cleaner the race, the higher the rating.
  • Speed (PAC): A mix of qualifying and lap times and outpacing a teammate in both categories.
  • Rating (RTG): The combination of the four previous ratings, which can change over the course of the season.

The dynamic F1 24 standings, which are updated regularly and are a key component of the My Team mode, were created a few days before Lando Norris’ first victory and cover the season opener in Bahrain through to the Chinese Grand Prix.

Ratings are also key to the game’s ‘My Team’ feature, which gives players the opportunity to manage an F1 team.

Decisions include bringing in a teammate from the current F1 racing series to manage the team and develop the car. F1 24 includes a number of other improvements, including the new EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling.

F1 24 will be released worldwide on May 31 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via the EA app, Epic Games Store and Steam. The digital-exclusive Champions Edition will be available for up to three days early access from May 28.
