I feel like summer is always a busy time of year when it comes to the gaming industry – it’s no different at our company so I wasn’t surprised when we made our decision house pinball available through Xbox Game Pass. My job is to act as a bridge between our developers and players – I collect feedback from you, but that’s the easiest part of my job; The real fun starts when I try to convince the rest of our team that we should make some really massive changes to the game based on your opinions and ideas. Of course, I’m very excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Microsoft to broaden our horizons and make the community even bigger.
I’m hoping to reach as many new people as possible, so it’s only fair to describe what house pinball is about. In an ideal world it would be child’s play, but in reality it’s not that simple. I can tell you all about fancy mechanics and the freedom that comes with buying your own home just to renovate it, design the interiors, place the furniture perfectly, and then sell it for a profit. Yes – grab your hammer! It’s time to get a little ruder and break down some walls. Clear out broken glass, trash and leftover furniture to prepare the place for a total makeover! It’s up to you to either fulfill every single request of specific buyers or create a cozy office where you can grow your business. Duh, you can even recreate your own living room in the game.
Secure! It’s cool, but I feel like I’m only scratching the surface here. I’m happy to say it’s important to us – from the start, our main priority has been to give our players an outlet to express their creativity. You have no idea how heartwarming it is to come into work every morning and read all the comments saying that the game we made actually helps relieve stress and just let things go. While I don’t always have time to just sit around and chat with you, I really appreciate being a part of this community – it’s active, it’s supportive, and it’s full of amazing players willing to share their experiences with each other.
I see a great opportunity to make our community even more relevant and yes – one day we will cross the border and it will be difficult to keep in touch with you on a personal level. Still, I’m here to make sure we always do our best to do what we’re doing right now.
That being said, I’m counting on you to spread the word that it just got so much easier to share the experience of building your renovation empire and maintaining some old fixer-uppers with friends and family.
