Political, subversive, disrespectful, brilliant: there is no shortage of qualifications when you talk about them Elysium disco. This role-playing game of rare density has indeed been shown in full light thanks to rare writing quality and an honestly fascinating universe. The title ZA / UM has received dozen awards, has established itself in many rankings as the game of the year 2019 and, above all, has dusted off a genre of its own. A work that is far from perfect, but is ideal material for an analysis and decryption video.
On the occasion, it’s JSam who is in the skin of a gruff, chaotic cop, and undoubtedly stuck in bad times. And while a lifeless and limp body hangs at the end of a branch, it is responsible for solving the causes of such a crime. Not easy if you don’t already remember who you are while the incessant rhythm of the disco melodies circles in your head.
And if Elysium disco is a non-combat RPG, it is clearly not without violence. Violence in the form of sometimes impossible decisions or sometimes brutal exchanges. So yes, of course, there is a lot to be said about this work that has everything to become a cult in the years to come.
