It’s been a non-stop since leaving HUMANITY in August, and we can’t believe our fourth big patch is here! The long-awaited patch Fabius Maxime is now available on PC. We are also launching our first live event (Among the many to come!). In the case where Day of the Dead, players will be able to complete challenges and earn special symbols, decorations and the Catrina avatar for their collection.
We have carefully read and listened to every comment players gave us. And while there is still a lot going on and in development, we’re happy to offer several highly requested updates!
Humanity gameplay adjustments
- Abundance of resources: New map adjustments have been added to balance the abundance of resources. Players will be able to control the amount of strategic and luxurious resources located on the map. This should allow you to customize the level of conflict or cooperation required to be successful as you see fit.
- Avatar and people system: We added an option for random character When it comes to choosing your opponents, so if you prefer to be surprised during the game, you can now face an unknown enemy. We also added a button on the character screen to upload it to Games2Gether or download it if you play on a different PC than usual.
- On-screen color settings: We have added a color picker to the in-game settings that will allow you to adjust the subtitle color and available empire colors, also including several presets for common forms of color blindness.
Balance and rhythm
- it was neolithic: Changes from the Neolithic Age have been added to slow growth and limit the early power surge obtained by delaying the Ancient Era (less food obtained in shrines, stronger mammoths).
- Cultures: We are rebalancing certain crops, especially those that are most often reported as too strong or too weak. We also re-examined the combat strength and the cost of flagship and general units.
- Citizenship: We looked at the effect of various civic aspects of the game, including nuclear disarmament.
- Affinities: We have also rebalanced the expansionist affinity to make it more attractive.
Support for modification
- Modding tools: We have integrated “mod.io” into the game, so you just need to log into your account through the game and download the maps and mods those to which you have subscribed on the “mod.io” page of HUMANITY. The first version of the mods of Humanity will also be available soon on To smoke, allowing you to create your own content for the game.
The next patch will arrive at the end of this month and will add new adjustments to the conditions of the end of Game
Day of the Dead event
Pay homage to the deceased and celebrate Day of the Dead during the first seasonal event of HUMANITY until November 30. Although celebrated throughout Latin America, the Day of the Dead It is strongly associated with Mexico, where the tradition stems from a mixture of Mesoamerican, European and Catholic customs.
During this time of year, the border between the spirit world and the living world is dissolved. And the souls of the dead can return to party, drink, dance and play music with their loved ones. It’s time to join calacas and skulls to complete all event challenges by November 30, obtaining new symbols, decorations, and the Catrina avatar for your collection.
