Nier Replicant will receive the Western protagonist if the game hits half of Nier Automata’s sales
In a recent special, new facts about Square Enix and its games were released. The data we are currently concerned about relates to the remake of Nier Replicant. good thanks to the web Twisted Voxel
, who transcribed the information to us (since I am neither Japanese nor a dad), we were able to know the objectives of this remake. If Nier Replicant manages to sell half that of Nier Automata, its predecessor and its sequel at the same time, the protagonist of the western version will arrive in the game. This implies that the title must reach 2.5 million units sold.
VSAs you know, Nier Gestalt was the Western version, while Nier Replicant was the Japanese version.. The existential difference between the two games was the protagonist. Since Gestalt had the companion’s father, while Replicant offered his brother. Also, some parts of the dialogue and plot differed in the two versions
. At this point, I’m not sure if this would just be a character skin, or if we’re talking about fully adapting the dialogue and plot changes in some sort of alternate journey of the game. all this, let’s hope that the arrival of this remake will be successful and many people will enjoy it on April 23, 2021.
