Immortalityis the new interactive film created by Sam Barlow and developed by Half Mermaid Productions. The one who was the creator of other well-received interactive movies, like His story and lieenters a new story. This new mystery plot will consist of a trilogy of films.
The story centers on a famous fictional actress, named Marissa Marcel. This actress recorded up to three films in total in the 60s, 70s and 90s. The first film, entitled “Ambrose” directed by Alan Fischer in 1968, presents us with Marissa in the role of Matilda. The second film, titled “Minsky” is written by John Durick, released in 1970, and Marissa can be seen as a suspect in the death of another artist. Finally, the 1999 film “Two of Everything”, by the same director, which seeks to explore the duality between a pop star and her double.
None of these films have been released and the artist is missing and without a trace. Our goal will be to unravel all this mystery by interacting with all recorded films, deleted scenes, behind the scenes videos, home videos and all other graphic material.
In the old days Showcase ID@Xbox we had the opportunity to see a small trailer on the mechanics of the game, as well as an introduction to the story. Taking advantage of this great event, announced the launch of Immortality It is scheduled for summer 2022, without giving more details on the exact date. One thing they clarified and that is that the title will be available on Xbox Game Pass for download from the same day of launch
