Q: What do you find most exciting about developing and creating? Star Wars: Seasons brought to life on next generation hardware? “

A: Every new console era is always very exciting, both for us as gamers and developers. Even though we wanted to build Squadrons for the Xbox One, we just had to see what the new hardware could do! Tuning our metaphorical starfighter’s engine to be much better makes all the difference, and we know it will be appreciated by our community on next-gen consoles.

Q: You didn’t just get the power and performance of the Xbox Series X | S for faster loading times, etc. Which features of the Xbox Series X | That’s what you loved most when you were using it in the development of Xbox | war of stars:: Seasons?

A: Higher resolution support is great, but I’d say we loved the higher frame rate support. It makes a huge difference when you play at 120 FPS because you can track your opponents so much better.

Q: How do these improvements affect a player’s experience? war of stars: Seasons?

A: Higher frame rates and higher resolution make a huge difference when you’re trying to chase enemies or spot them in the distance. There was more than one time that I was grateful for a resolution increase when I shot down a missile that was headed straight for me!

Q: Why did your development team choose improved resolution and frame rate as areas for improvement? war of stars: Seasons on Xbox Series X | S?

A: When it comes to squadrons, we’ve given our players a very focused, authentic experience: flying in a first-person cockpit. That said, we know where the player will be and, more importantly, what matters most when they shop around. The assets in the game are already of a fairly high quality, so improving the overall experience with a higher frame rate and resolution was central to enhancing the experience. It made the most sense to optimize the game for the next generation and take advantage of the great new consoles.

Q: How do you expect fans of war of stars: Seasons It will be with these improvements to playing on Xbox Series X | S react?

A: Honestly, we hope they react to this as much as we do! Getting your hands on the new consoles was like being a kid again for a birthday. We hope this makes their playtime even better and gives them a taste of what this generation is coming for these consoles.

Q: What makes the Xbox Series X | S in current or future projects that you couldn’t have achieved with the previous generation of consoles? “

A: Well, that’s something you just have to wait to see, but because of the performance these consoles offer, it definitely opens up a whole new world of possibilities. There will be some very exciting games going on! We can’t wait to see what other studios are working on too.

From all of us at EA, Motive Studios, and beyond, we really just want to thank our amazing community for their support. In case you haven’t heard of it yet, we’ve made another drop in offer as a thank you. Last month we added a new map and Starfighter components, but this month we’ve added the legendary B-Wing and TIE Defenders alongside custom games. We really hope our players love it!
