As we learned from the media, The edge, Microsoft’s new strategy with exclusive games seems focused on launching games on other consoles. Obviously this is not new on Xbox, they have been doing this type of maneuver for years, although recently they have gone the furthest until its launch on PC.
The change that could happen now would be very drastic, we are talking about launches of very renowned games, like the expected Indiana Jones. As The Verge explains for the first time, this Xbox exclusive game, would arrive on PlayStation 5 months after its launch on Xbox and PC.
Indiana Jones could arrive on PS5
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would arrive on PlayStation 5 a few months after the Xbox launch. In other words, the game would arrive exclusively, even if as explained in The Verge, the exclusivity would be for a few months, therefore, We can speak of an ephemeral exclusivity.
We don’t know where Microsoft has set the bar in this new commitment to cross-platform play, so for now, we can consider any future release as a possible release beyond Xbox.
