The Indie Arena Booth, the largest curated developer booth in the world, has revealed its line-up for gamescom 2024.

Where can you first work as a planetary defense cannon commander, then manage a fruit truck and then shoot your way through dungeons as a mutated rat? At the Indie Arena Booth (IAB) at gamescom, of course!

This year, the IAB once again offers the largest selection of the best indie titles of the year, where everyone is guaranteed to find what they are looking for.

Over 160 titles from 37 countries have made it into the curated line-up and can be played by all visitors in Hall 10.2, Stand F010g – E019.

From action to contemplation, everything is on offer: Those who like adrenaline can Giant Slayer: Hordes of Hel in the best Diablo style, chop up the hordes of hell or in the Bullet Time Platforming Slasher Damned escaped from the Bastille. Or maybe Dark Echoesa Metroidvania in a Greco-Roman spaceship?

Those who like things cozy will also find what they are looking for, with very different approaches to the topic of coziness.

In Pub talk Run a fantasy bar and look for true love at the same time? Sure. Or how about Doronko Wanko as a fat little Pomeranian to make as much dirt as possible? Winter construction On the other hand, as a small rodent it is important to build a home and give meaning to life.

There are games that are worth a look just because of their art style: Key lock mixes anime design with cyberpunk pixel optics, 30 birds is inspired by Persian art and the historical-surreal fantasy world of Hieronymus is based on the work of the great master, Hieronymus Bosch himself.

But the story should not be neglected either, and Moses and Plato – Last Train to Clawvillea detective adventure with unsuspecting fox detectives about the historical court drama The darkest files to a melancholic journey through post-apocalyptic Seoul in Goodbye, SeoulFans of narrative games will get their money’s worth.

This year, the category “Games that defy categorization” includes: Henry Halfheada game about the life story of half a head, or the wild adventures of a jellyfish who is abandoned by her wife and led astray by a drug-addicted magician (Underworlds) and the rhythm puzzle platformer SECOND in which a nihilistic parcel delivery man runs to the sound of hip hop and electro parkour.

And there is also a game about the suffering of game designers, in which players can finally experience for themselves what it is like to eliminate bugs, add features and get one step closer to the release date…

As befits a world-class showcase, there are of course also some world premieres to marvel at. Playable for the first time ever are ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard, Morriton Manor Stories: Nordic Whispers, The Merlies and Normal June and long-awaited fan favorites like Slay the Princess – The Flawless Cut or Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall and much more are included.
