With the Indie Box, the entire XboxSquad editorial team offers you mini reviews of very little known or featured indie games. While some don’t deserve to step out of the shadows of the Xbox Marketplace, others might be worth a look. That is the whole subject of this section.
Do you remember the animated series Once Upon a Lifetime? I’m sure many of you still remember the credits. Well, it’s pretty much the same, but this time you’re in charge, not Maestro!
By following the wanderings of our character in his daily life, you must counteract the attacks of pathogens that threaten his organism. Germs, viruses or other bacteria try to get in. It’s up to you to stop them in this real-time strategy game. To help you, the immune system that you direct provides you with different types of leukocytes with different capacities.
Strategic and limited tower defense, listeria wars unfortunately does not shine with its complexity and does not offer many different units. During my testing session, I quickly established a typical betting pattern that I just had to reproduce in each level to master without ever failing. So yes, new threats sometimes require targeted new defenses, but nothing insurmountable.
Unless you’re a real fan of the genre or looking for a basic 1000G (less than 20 minutes in my case), I don’t really recommend this game.
I loved :
- An interesting concept
- 1000G easy
I’m sorry :
- Zero replayability
- Not a challenge once the mechanics are integrated
